Includes photographs and descriptions from a selection of 100 books from the Library Studio of architect Philip Johnson.

The first publication to be completed by Birch Books Conservation will be The Library of Philip Johnson: Selections from the Glass House, anticipated in fall, 2011. The volume will be 250-pages, containing over 350 photographic illustrations, and brief textual analyses of 100 selected volumes from Philip Johnson's study at The Glass House, New Canaan, Connecticut.

The Library of Philip Johnson: Selections from The Glass House will function as a resource for the general public and for professional architects and designers, providing access to a selection of ideas and images that shaped Johnson's contribution to American modernism. The executive director at The Glass House, will be providing the Foreword to the volume and Robert A.M. Stern has agreed to write the introduction.

All funds from book sales will be donated to preserve the physical books contained at the Library Study building of Philip Johnson, on site in New Canaan, Connecticut.
